GCC has transformed Kraupa-Tuskany Zeidler's booth into a space characteristic of a Gulf luxury hotel. The palatial interior depicted was photographed on location at a multi-billion-dollar hotel in the Gulf, capturing an atmosphere of ubiquitous lobby aspiration. Also incorporated in the installation are eight original oil paintings commissioned by the artists, and executed by a Thai painter in Kuwait specializing in sheikh portraiture. Donning traditional dress, GCC are perched sheikh-style against a lobby backdrop, hijacking a commonplace and patriarchal presentation of regional monarchy in public interiors. The self-portraits project a classless cult of personality and gender-inclusive solution, as well as a study in regal facial expression.
