To “use” and to be “used” by objects is part of my long-running fascination with seamless “userfriendly” functionality as a mode of control that straddles physical and digital spaces.
The merging of man and machine is happening on a behavioral plane,
- I ́m interested in the generic “mimetic” behaviors or performed genuinity as part of the human experience of algorithmical conditioning.
Stuck in a feedback loop, the self resolves. Much like a BDSM contractual agreement, in my work the “Body” is willfully being supported, trapped, pampered and ultimately disabled, while on display for the general public.
